Photography Program

Certificate

Overview

The CSU Photography Certificate Program provides a structured photographic
curriculum. Students who wish to gain practical, hands-on knowledge in the field will be
able to develop new skills, or build on existing skills, in a relatively short period of time.
Our program allows students, whether hobbyists, dedicated amateurs, or aspiring
professionals, to focus on the skills necessary for their own personal success.

Requirements for Certification

To qualify for the non-credit CSU Photography Certificate, you must complete the required Photography Fundamentals class and choose five additional classes from our Fall, Winter and Spring selections.

Students are required to:

  • Complete the Certificate Program within three years

  • Maintain a minimum 75% attendance for all classes

  • Prepare a portfolio and attend a Certificate Presentation ceremony

Note: Students may qualify for a certificate based on classes completed prior to the
inception of the Certificate Program, if they have completed the required number of
classes within the last three years, by taking a Fundaments of Photography Exam.
