Photography Program

The Photography Program at the Rankin Arts Center is the area’s only learning resource for beginners, serious amateurs and aspiring professionals. Where else can you begin with a Photography Fundamentals class, then design a curriculum that includes exciting classes in topics like Studio Photography, Bridal Portraiture or Photoshop, and finally, earn a Photography Certificate to commemorate your achievement? We truly have something for everyone, and our curriculum is always growing.

Always available:

Private Photography Lessons

Photography Studio Rental

The CSU Photography Certificate Program provides a structured photographic curriculum. Students who wish to gain practical, hands-on knowledge in the field will be able to develop new skills, or build on existing skills, in a relatively short period of time. Our program allows students, whether hobbyists, dedicated amateurs, or aspiring professionals, to focus on the skills necessary for their own personal success. Click here for information on the Photography Certificate Program.

Our instructors are award-winning leaders in their chosen fields of Advertising, Portrait, Wedding, Journalism and Fine Art photography. Their work is published in coffee table books, corporate reports, newspapers and magazines, and collected by museums. Their combined professional experience is over eighty years and they all enjoy sharing their hard-won experience with others.

Student Testimonial:

I just wanted to send you a quick word of thanks for the improvement in my pictures from your class. Last year I went to a concert and took pictures using the mentality of "take a lot, and a few will turn out." I probably took over 100 pictures with only 8-10 usable shots as a result. When I returned for a similar concert this year, I took over 100 pictures on purpose, and only a few were out of focus. Thanks for the huge improvement! Thanks again.
