Get Ready for a Summer of Dance with the Columbus Ballet!

CALL 706.507.8070 to REGISTER

The Columbus Ballet Conservatory (TCBC) at CSU’s Rankin Arts Center is the official school and home of the Columbus Ballet Company. Summer instructors include Artistic and Executive Director, David Herriott, and instructors Bridget Adams, Joanna Ahlman, Maria Hirsch, Pam Walden, and Melissa Williams. All levels will be taught and it is highly recommended that all dancers continue their dance training during the summer. Summer study allows the dancers to concentrate on dance without academic concerns, so vast improvements can be seen.

Summer ballet classes are offered in 2 separate sessions...

Session I - 2nd Workshop June 9-13
Daily classes will offer intensive study on advanced levels (current conservatory students would be levels 3–6). In addition, there will be technique classes in Modern dance, Beginning/Intermediate Pointe, and Advanced Pointe and Variation, along with classes focusing on physical well-being. Master teacher for the week 2 will be taught by Kathleen Duffy, former principal soloist with Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Also, Pam Walden will teach modern dance, Tracy Dean will teach Pilates and Isaiah Harper will teach Theatre and Pantomime. Videos will be shown during lunch. Bring your own lunch. Participation both weeks is recommended.
